Pre-launched Idea - Can we still enter it?
Hey! I have a happiness app which was launched 6months ago in the appstore. It was a 'hack' idea I began to think about over a year ago... but the app is still very unique and is already cheering people up in the real world. It needs to be submitted into competitions like this to raise awareness of our awesome design and idea.
Can you submit our app into the competition?

If the app solves for the theme of this challenge, we should be able to accept existing versions of the product. if not, changes needs to be made to make sure it adheres to the theme of this contest!

Sweet! As soon as we have confirmation that we can join, I will post out a blog post and see if we can get all those other our happy apps we know to enter, to raise the bar for your hack thro the roof. This is going to be epic. Seriously epic.

I like how HappiJar is being diligent about following the rules here. ;-)
In the interest of fairness, I personally believe that non-new apps should have to explain how they are "significantly different from previous versions" as part of their submission.
Of course, I am just a fellow developer. However, winning apps made before hackathons have caused a lot of ill will in the past, for example see the 2013 Salesforce Hackathon (Google it or start here https://medium.com/@aliciatweet/the-dirty-secret-behind-the-salesforce-1m-hackathon-b839268fb82d).

Hey Starglows? Cool name. Thanks for message :)
I see that Salesforce Hackathon before I decided to post up here. That would have gutted me to think that we were all being cheated by some shady back hand deal... none of that hear though.
We all know what we up against. There really is no excuse not to enter if you got the skills and the great idea :)
Game on!
