Submitting to the AppStore first?

Hi there,
We're working on a new iPhone app for this challenge.
Is it OK to submit the app to the AppStore before submitting it for the challenge?

  Do we need to have app in AppStore before public voting starts or after (when judging starts)?? We are building app too and want to know when is the last day for app to be in app store?

  No, you don't need to have the app in AppStore. As long as there is a way to test it.
